Two new ZCashBuilder responsible investment Funds

In September 2025, the Trustees introduced two new responsible investment funds:

  • Zurich Climate Focus World Equity Fund
  • Wellington Global Credit ESG Fund

The Zurich Climate Focus World Equity Fund aims to build a diverse portfolio of global shares in developed markets. It uses a passive management approach and focuses on:

  • Cutting the carbon footprint of its investments
  • Supporting clean technology companies
  • Steering clear of controversial businesses
  • Reducing reliance on fossil fuel-related companies

Any remaining carbon footprint is balanced out with high-quality carbon credits chosen by Zurich.

The Wellington Global Credit ESG Fund mainly invests in a mix of high-quality corporate bonds. The fund manager considers environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors when researching investments, focusing particularly on company governance and carbon emissions.

Don’t forget

  • The sooner you start saving, the better; even a small increase in your contributions gives more time for your money to grow through investment returns and compounding.
  • You can contribute as much as you like to your pension, but there are annual and lifetime limits on the tax relief you can get.
  • Where you save is also important as pensions are for the long term. Over time, your investments should grow, but in the short term, markets can go up and down.

  • It’s important to check how your savings are invested. Are they still right for your retirement goals? We recommend reviewing this at least once a year, or more often if you can.

  • Not sure where to invest? It’s a good idea to get financial advice.
